PFIPC Scandal Escalates as VeryDarkMan Threatens to Expose Government Insiders Backing Arrested DG

Popular social media commentator and activist, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s political landscape after reacting to the recent arrest of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, the embattled self-acclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

In an explosive update shared across his social media platforms, VDM released snippets of a video call conversation he held with Prince Adeyemi shortly before law enforcement agents took the DG into custody.

"He Spoke to Me in Confidence"

According to VeryDarkMan, the detained PFIPC boss opened up to him about the internal mechanics of how the controversial council managed to secure a massive ₦1.302 billion allocation in Nigeria’s national budget, despite recent claims by the Presidency that the agency is completely fictitious and legally non-existent.

"The PFIPC DG that was arrested revealed a lot of things to me in confidence, and I think it is time for me to post those things," VDM stated. "He told me how PFIPC got into the national budget with the help of some people in power."

The activist made it clear that his decision to blow the whistle on the recorded conversations stems from a refusal to watch a single individual take the entire blame for a systemic failure.

"I am revealing everything now because it looks like they want him alone to take the fall, which doesn't make any sense," VDM added, implying that higher-ranking government officials orchestrated or facilitated the budget insertion.

The Backdrop: Bribery Claims and a ₦15 Billion Lawsuit

The arrest of Prince Adeyemi follows a volatile week of accusations. Adeyemi had previously accused the Chief of Staff to the President, the Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, of demanding a 48 percent kickback from a federal take-off grant and allegedly receiving a ₦400 million bribe via an intermediary.

Gbajabiamila vehemently denied the allegations, swiftly filing a ₦15 billion defamation lawsuit against Adeyemi. Following the legal pushback, Adeyemi was detained and transferred to the National Cybercrime Centre under investigations involving the suspected forgery of presidential appointment letters and official document manipulation.

Systemic Panic Over Budget Padding

VDM’s latest intervention intensifies the pressure on federal investigators and the National Assembly. Lawmakers have already summoned the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning alongside the Director-General of the Budget Office to decipher how an unestablished agency successfully cleared multiple vetting stages to appear in the federal budget.

With VDM threatening to release the full details of his confidential video calls with Prince Adeyemi, the public eagerly awaits the exposure of the "powerful forces" who allegedly held the door open for the PFIPC.
