Jemima Osunde Stops Driver Allegedly Going One-Way in Lagos

Nollywood star Jemima Osunde recently confronted a motorist in Lagos who she alleged was driving against the flow of traffic. In a video widely shared online, the actress recounted how the driver had left his designated lane, presumably to bypass congestion, and entered the opposing lane meant for vehicles heading towards the Lekki axis. Osunde stated her firm refusal to yield, effectively blocking the vehicle until officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) arrived at the scene.

The acclaimed actress raised concerns about why road users would disregard traffic regulations in an attempt to avoid gridlock, emphasizing that such actions exacerbate existing problems on Nigerian roads. She declared, “I will not leave my lane for you when you are passing one way. I won’t do it. I don’t care if you have police in your car.” Osunde further asserted that she would rather endure traffic delays or adjust her schedule than give way to any motorist she believes is violating traffic laws. The incident has sparked discussions online regarding traffic discipline in Lagos.
