Umahi Declares Tinubu as the Epitome of Biafra's Aspirations for Igbos

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has made a profound statement regarding the representation of Biafra in the context of Igbos. While addressing the APC presidential primary election in Umunaga Ward, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi, Umahi stated that the substantial turnout of 5,009 APC members signifies robust support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the impending 2027 general election. According to Umahi, Ebonyi stands as a fortress of the All Progressives Congress, and he emphasized that the South-East has reaped considerable benefits under the current administration, including pivotal appointments and major infrastructure projects. The Minister pointed out that President Tinubu has successfully integrated the South-East into the national political landscape through strategic appointments and developmental initiatives. Umahi quoted, 'Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for. A man who has integrated the entire South-East, given us juicy appointments and very important infrastructure.' Furthermore, Umahi defended Tinubu's economic reforms, positing that although the initial phases were marked by hardship for Nigerians, these policies ultimately contributed to the stabilization of the economy. He added, 'The macroeconomy is stable and the President is now taking it down to the microeconomy. The worst is over and Nigerians will soon begin to see the benefits.'
