‘I regret my role in ADC crises, my life is in danger’ – Nafiu Bala cries out
A chieftain of the opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC, Nafiu Bala, has allegedly expressed deep regret over his involvement in the internal crisis rocking the party, saying his life is now under threat.
Bala was quoted by ADC Vanguard as saying that he never anticipated the level of fallout that followed the political disagreements, insisting that the situation had escalated beyond control.
“I regret my role in the ADC crises. I did not know it would reach this level. My life is in danger,” he was quoted as saying.
The ADC has been grappling with internal divisions, leading to a Supreme Court judgement delivered on Thursday.
Although the court vacated the status quo antebellum order against the David Mark-leadership, there are still concerns about the future of the party.
Meanwhile, Bala has not publicly spoken about the report attributed to him.
