A Nigerian prison guard, Ayodele Abiodun Afosi, has been arrested for fleeing the scene of a car accident he allegedly caused in Texas, United States.
Afosi works as a Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer assigned to the Wynne Unit (men's prison) in Huntsville, Texas.
He was arrested on Monday, May 11, 2026 on a charge of failure to stop and provide information following a vehicle accident involving more than $200 in damage.
He remains in the Walker County Jail with a $3,000 bond.
According to report, Afosi was hired by TDCJ in February 2026.
